  1. The photography here is very good. I particularly like the use of light. You shoot right up to the edge of what is possible without blowing the image. Yours is the most skillful play with light that I have seen anywhere. The processing is superb too. I enjoyed this visit. Thank you.

  2. It is wonderful to see the world from your perspective as you captured the many fascinating imageries of your corner of the world through your skillful use of the lens and photography. I myself is a hobbyist, I came from the Philippines and now live here in Chicago, the USA. So my take on photography is greatly influenced by how I see things from where I grew up. I am really a painter – a self-taught artist – so photography serves more as an inspiration for my works. Most of my painting studies were imageries from the real things I see, from the words I write through poetry, images from memory and cuts and pieces from photographs. They don’t exactly look or a copy-cut of the images but they have the impression of the combined process of my study.

I’ve always been fascinated of Greece. Next year around July, I’m planning to finally see my teenage first view of the world. My first exposure to foreign lands outside my country was Greece. When I was 13, I started a long correspondence with a Greek girl, Roula. She was from Drama, Greece. That was in the 80′ to the 90’s when snail mail and pen pal was the way of communication. We stopped the correspondence when I was 18 – and never heard from her since, but I’ve always dream of seeing the land and perhaps make peace with her through the visit, not necessarily to see her in personally, but at least to fulfill my promise to one day see for myself all the beautiful things she described to me about Greece.

I started becoming serious with photography when I got too busy with work and had limited time for my arts and poetry – when words don’t come easy, photography speaks. I love doing self-portraits and also travel photography. I thank the advancement in technology for allowing me to take my own pictures. In 2011, I started my daily photo-blog on Facebook – https://www.facebook.com/jeques – every month I make a video out of the collection for the month and post them on YouTube – http://www.youtube.com/user/nonoisebarred – At times here on my WordPress account. I always find a media to express my arts because it is my passion. It is great to share my passion with people, it is great to share my passion with you.

    I wish you well.
